The waterfall is 25 foot tall. I had been there earlier, but the light wasn't quite right. This time it was fall and the fallen leaves added a nice touch. I like the rocks and vegetation behind the falls. The water level was lower, too, and that made it easier to get closer to the falls and find a composition. The sun was just setting and creating beautiful light on the breaking waves and rock formations in the foreground. The beach is located east of Makawehi Point. It features the georgeus Mahaulepu Heritage Trail which is following along the coast, offering spectacular views of the Makawehi Lithified Cliffs which have been formed over centuries by a combination of wind, salt and water. You will find many rock formations with small, intimate beaches surrounded by spectacular cliffs along this trail. Large waves are moving towards the shore. Its official Hawaiian name is Kauapea Beach. A steep trail, about a 10 minutes hike, leads onto the beach. The trail can be very challenging and slick during rainy days due to slippery rocks, which adds to its seclusion. Secret beach is one of Kauai's longest and widest beaches with its 3000 feet length and 72 feet width. The beach is covered in beautiful white sand and black lava rocks. It offers stunning views on Kilaulea Lighthouse to the right. In the winter it is a surfers paradise. It was very windy at the falls with lots of spray from the water, which made it impossible to find a composition escaping the spray. I would like to return and see what the falls would look like under different light conditions. We were surrounded by beautiful green foliage, conveying the impression of being in the deepest jungle. Hoopii Falls consists of two cascades known as Upper and Lower Hoopii Falls, ranging from 15 to 20 feet tall. This image shows Upper Hoopii Falls. The trail leading to the falls is very beautiful and messy at the same time, requiring to slide through muddy trails, but at the end a gorgeous waterfall is revealed. We were surrounded by beautiful green foliage, conveying the impression of being in the deepest jungle. It features the georgeus Mahaulepu Heritage Trail which is following along the coast, offering spectacular views of the Makawehi Lithified Cliffs which have been formed over centuries by a combination of wind, salt and water. We got up early and planned to arrive at Dream Lake for sunrise. However, big clouds blocked the light on the mountain and I noticed the beautiful light on this Aspen tree instead. On the last day I decided to stop. Bear Lake is a scenic alpine lake in RMNP at an elevation of 9,450 feet. This lake is probably one of the most visited locations in the park since it is easy accessible from the parking lot. There is a trailhead around the lake offering beautiful views on the mountains surrounding it, such as Longs Peak and Hallett Peak. Several popular hikes are starting at Bear Lake. The beautiful Great Falls are located in the middle of the city of Paterson in New Jersey along Passaic River. The falls are spectacular with a height of 77 feet (23 m). If you want to get away from the crowds this is the perfect location. Polihale translates to "House of the Underworld" in Hawaiian. Its name was chosen due to its remoteness and beauty. The beach is the longest white sandy beach on the island stretching 15 miles (24 km) along Kauai's west shore. The currents are strong and the sunsets are spectacular. Hanalei Pier was originally contructed of wood in 1892 and rebuilt in 1912 reaching a length of 340 feet (100 m). Later on the wooden deck was replaced by a concrete deck due to the tropical climate. It's original purpose was to support the island's rice industry. Today it is a beautiful spot for sunset watching. The area around the pier offers incredible views on the rolling mountains and the Pacific waters surrounding it.
